Soory if this has been covered. I tried searching but didn't see a deifinitive answer. I'm just finishing up a 700R4 to T56 swap in my 1991 Z28. I would like to keep cruise control working. I know if you use a T5 cruise interupt switch on the clutch pedal and use a "T" to the vaccum line from the brake pedal you will be able to vent the vacuum and temporarily stop cruise until the pedal is released. Cruise will resume when the clutch pedal is released. You would need a switch that can wire into the circuit of the brake pedal switch and still have vacuum release. Does anyone have a part # of a switch that will work?

on my 85 the clutch does not get a vacuum release. It only gets the electrical switch which is in the same circuit as the brake electrical release switch. Only the brake gets the vacuum dump.

SO in your case all you would need to do is add the clutch release switch and put it in line with the brake release wire.

Cruise does not and should not resume if the clutch pedal is depressed. It disengages the cruise completely but you simply use the resume function to resume cruise speed.
