I have replaced the shifter cable 5 times and im on my 6th one. The first two cables were stretched due to engine not grounded. Third was split by the rubber stopper. The fourth broke when the clips that slid into this metal piece by the shifter bent backwards as i put the car into park. The 5th one did the same thing and i don't know what to do. Its like the inside cable is sticking to the outer coating but when i take it out it slides fine. I cant figure out why the clips are bending back. Please Help!

 

Lube the **** out of the cable & shifter Are these new cables or used IF used theyre prolly wore out & the cables hangin on the liner inside Get a brand new one if so
