Axle/Gears: 3.90
305tpi swap to 350L98
I am swapping the 305tpi out of my 87' Iroc and dropping in a 89' vette L98. My question is will the present tranny and rear end on a stock 87' be able to handle this swap??? Thanks.

That Vette motor just might blow up the tranny and rear end. You have to know that anything that is from a "vette" has way more power then a L98 3rd gen 350.

really?? A stock vette L98 engine?? It didn't produce that much more power did it??

It will bolt up to the stock 305 tranny. The rear should hold but you are talking about the smaller 26 spline axles.
