Rear end replacement suggestions?

I have a 1982 Z28 with a 350 crate attached to the original 4speed manual tranny and I just blew up the 4.10 rear end. Now that I have an excuse to replace it, I'm thinking of dropping the ratio down a bit and swapping over to disc brakes, but I'm not sure how much I should drop it down. At the moment, it's a rocket up to 80mph, but it tops out around 110mph at 7000rpms (for the record, I've never taken the car past ~6000 for fear of ruining something), so it's a great 1/8 mile car, but I'm looking to someday race it on the 1/4 mile. What I would like to see is a little more top end without giving up too much torque. What do you guys think is best?
