Car: 82 Camaro SC
factory gear ratio
i just dropped a v8 and t5 tranny in a 82 sportcoupe that came with a v6 4speed and the gears seem really really short, i have about 345hp. i have the rear end that came with the v8 car and i was wondering if it would be a noticable difference. at the moment i cant use my power effectivly. what exactly are the gear ratios that came with both of the cars?

Re: factory gear ratio
Hunt up a complete rear from a 91-92 V6 / auto, it'll have the 3.42:1 gears, the 28-spline axles, and a slightly larger 7.625" ring gear. Then add a Lock-Right.
