Hi, I have become an addict and just bought my second car which I intend to use for running 1/4s.
I have picked it up cheap as it has a gearbox issue and no current MOT.
It won't select reverse gear on the autobox. I know there is possibly some issue with springs or sensers etc that may cause this, so before I go removing the box and sourcing a second hand one, can anyone talk me through little things I can check first? I don't have a manual yet so pictures will help (plus I am a girl so everything is call a 'thingy' or a 'whatnot'!) Also would it be possible that there is a linkage issue or something?
Any help for this novice would be good! (I am used to working on British cars like Landrovers and Austins etc so everything on my American stuff is bigger and more complicated!)
