T5 Torque Mount

Does anyone have some info regarding the removal process for this? I've got the bolts loosened, but can't see to get it off. Do I need to remove the actual Torque Arm in order to remove it?

Any help would be apprecaited!

Re: T5 Torque Mount

did you try to hammer it out ? its easier to remove the torque arm for torque mount removal as depending on hows you car jack up... it could be putting some type of force on torque arm..... also you prob need to remove x member and lower trans alittle so trans mount bolts have clerance to be removed as bolts might hit the side of the trans tunnel...you will need to have a jack and a board of wood so trans can rest on and tail shaft of trans will lower a inch or 2 maybe more i didnt measure exactly lol... for a little part it is kinda pita lol

Thanks for your help.

I was able to remove it just by jacking up the car and loosening the bolts on the torque arm and moving it off the mount. I didn't have to lower the trans or completely remove the Torque Arm itself.
