TH350 Shift Cable Bracket ?'s
TH350 Shift Cable Bracket ?'s
I have been looking but am unable to find a straight answer -
I have a th350 in a 91 camaro, and have used previous, a piece of angle iron as my bracket and used my original shift cable. Well the cable has snapped and instead of re-rigging and waiting for it to break again (because I never really had park or reverse because of the way it was mounted) Im curious if someone has found a remedy for this. I dont need any other input with my torque arm as that is resolved, I meery need to figure out what to do with the cable/bracket. Which cable would be closest to OEM but for a TH350 that would be a good candidate to which bracket.
Iv been looking at this: http://www.jegs.com/i/Hurst/530/117-...ductId=1677712 and this: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...61600/10002/-1
but im unsure of how the cable would actually mate to this.
And if I use that bracket, I could grind down and bend my angle iron to replicate this.
Or am I looking at two completely different parts...

Re: TH350 Shift Cable Bracket ?'s
Bear in mind the shift lever on the trans ( distance from the center of shaft to stud where cable attaches ) is prob more important that the bracket that holds the cable to the trans ;
the distance the selector lever travels has to relate to the movement at the shifter
