Recommendations for t 5 or should I say clutch
Ok so I searched and read and still am clueless. And no I am not swapping a in a 6 speed. Can anyone give a newbie sound advice and a parts list of what will be needed to replace the clutch in my iroc. Which clutch is best for for the money. It not gonna be a drag car or anything it's a convertible. I want to cruise and enjoy a spirited drive or the occasional burn out to show off. Clutch is slipping terrible now but the car only has 69,000 miles so. Any advice?

Just get a stock replacement one at a parts store.
Installation perfection is FAR more important than the choice of parts, in this situation. Concentrate on that instead.
You need a clutch kit and a pilot bearing and some trans fluid. Maybe a handful of "might as well"s that you'll be in the middle of at the same time, like trans mount, toruqe arm mount, U-joints, etc. You'll have to be the judge of that.

Like Sofa said, a stock replacement should work fine....but I'd add checking out your flywheel and look for burnt/hot spots since it's been slipping.
If it's bad enough, you may need to remove it, take it to a machine shop so they can turn it down/clean it up.

You can search this site. It has all the answers to almost any question you could imagine. From the factory V8 cars equipped with the T5 came with a 26 spline input shaft.

I agree about searching the site but most of the time I search and read for hours. I then have to decide what's fact and opinion. And then more times than not I'm left with more questions than when I started

Yeah I feel your pain... I wish there was some way we could zap all the drivel and repetition of "mythology" and all that sort of stuff, and trim it down to nothing but the facts; but that seems beyond reach somehow...
