Weird problem with transmission
Hey guys, I am sorry to start a new thread I have searched through the threads in the past few weeks trying to find a car that is having the same problem as mine. My car is an '86 Camaro Berlinetta, with a stock 305 (not the original engine) with a 700r4. The trouble I have been having is something I have never seen in any car before. I have recently brought this car back from the dead. when i got it, it was gutted. but the problem I am experincing is a when I put the car into drive it acts as though it were in neutral, but after it sits for about a minute it starts to move. It will go down the road after a few fits of slipping but it will finally engage fully and go. but if i put it into reverse it goes right away. I have tried everything I can think of but it just won't work right. and to make matters worse when it does go it won't go into any gear other than 1st it wont shift up.
Thank you,
Bam.

Re: Weird problem with transmission
I found the problem. it was caused by a faulty radiator filled my tranny with water and anti-freeze.
