Has anyone installed a paddle shift conversion on there car? I know the corvettes come factory with it with the 6l80e trans but I was wondering if anyone has done it with a 4l60e or 4l80e. They are both solenoid shifted which means a paddle shift conversion should work on them as well. Anyone with any experience on this subject please feel free to share what you know. Some of my questions are do you have to use a special steering wheel, what transmissions will it work on and has anyone installed any kits that are better than others. I wonder if a newer corvette steering wheel and paddle shift could be adapted to our cars?

couple companys make paddleshifters for automatic transmmission controller you have to read up and search for the controller you want paddle shifter hooks up the same way you can even use a steering wheel that has 2 Nitrous buttons instead of paddle they bolt uplike a steering wheels would so no rocket science there heres couple links and cool videos looking to spend over $1000 for both its fun to drive its like driving a big go cart on a autocross trak i plan to run one when wife gives me a go ahead to get a formula firebird lol going on 6 months trying to convince lol

also you will need a 4l60E or 65E or any eltronic control trans there was a paddle shift kit for 700r4 but it wasnt popular and was feature in a mag forget which one they basically used a selnoid to shift it http://www.mastershift.com/

i wouldnt bother with newer steering wheels with paddle shift as it wont look right unlees you did full interior conversion bu then whats the point when that will cost alot you can use a aftermarket steering wheel
