car lurched backwards
I get home, and I park on slight uphill grade. Put the car in park, set the E-Brake which doesn't hold that well, and get out. Walking up I hear a loud TWANG/CRUNCH sound and the car jumps backwards. It didn't keep rolling, probably only moved an inch, but whatever happened is not good.
Any thoughts on what happened?
Im not sure what happened, but I put this in the transmission section hoping it is not what I think it is.

Sounds like park is not engaging completely. Usually occurs because of a bad shift cable. I would also fix the parking brake.
