Clutch engaged and loud whining and smoking?
I just replaced the slave cylinder on my 92 camaro, bled the line, started the car with no problems but when I pressed the clutch in a loud whining started I tried to release the clutch pedal and nothing changed. I then pressed in the clutch again and released still nothing so I shut the car down, got under the car and noticed the slave cylinder was fully extended. I loosened the bleeder bolt and it retracted. I then went through the bleeding steps again and made sure the cylinder was extending and retracting. Now when I start the car I hear this kind of rattling noise especially when i press the clutch in. What could this be?

sounds like the fork slipped off at some point and you installed it behind the throughout bearing instead of in the grove . only a guess......
