TH350 Rebuild
How hard is it to rebuild a TH350? What all is involved and what is the average cost to rebuild for a strong one?

Re: TH350 Rebuild
I have three rebuild kits for this transmission. Go to: https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/home.php?cat=21 The kits are very complete, and come with s free video. There is the one ATSG build book for this unit and they go for $27.00. I offer the very light weight Vega sunshell (drive shell) if you are going to drag race this transmission for slightly quicker 60 foot times.

Re: TH350 Rebuild
I bought this kit off Dana at Probuilt.

I didnt get the sunshell, but it made for a nice trans. I installed it myself. I did have to have a piston machined to add the extra clutch, but that was cheap.
I do suggest you pick up a rear clutch spring compressor.

Other than that, I just used simple tools. Some various picks for seals and o-rings. Bushing driver and snap ring pliers.
I ran into a problem or two, but Dana talked me through them.
Thanks Dana.

Re: TH350 Rebuild
Okay thanks guys, so this shouldn't be too hard as long as I go slow and take my time? I haven't really dealt with transmissions before, it's really about the only thing on a vehicle I haven't had to work on.

Oh yeah, Keep everything clean for assembly. Dont use paper towels or anything with lint. Also take pics as you disassemble the trans. Make sure you drive the bushings in straight and dont nick any seals/o rings.
