I recently bought an 89 RS which is in good condition however I don't believe it was well maintained. I am going to replace the transmission filter and wonder if I shouldn't flush it out while I am at it. I am mechanically inclined yet I have never done this procedure and I am unable to find any videos or references to do this properly for this particular car.

 

I will also say that the car has 96,xxx , The tranny fluid just looks dirty however it seems to operate fine. I am assuming I have the w/c t-5 however not positive as I have not had enough time to figure all this info out.
