Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt Torsen Posi 3.73 ratio
Identify my Transmission (700R4?)
I was wondering the year of my tranny as I knew it was not original to my '83 car because I am ordering a torque converter. I wanted together a good idea of how many spines I had before I pulled it in a week.
I crawled under and very clearly see this:
5MH162H
This looks nothing like any serial number for 700r4s that I have found.
What year is my transmission?!?
Is it an '85?
