tailshaft bracket
So last summer after some engine upgrades and tuning I started to have a problem. When I punched it or pre-loaded and took off I would get a grinding sound from my trans. So now that its warm I took look at the trans... my u-joint coupler at the tailshaft output is hitting my undercarriage. and there is a bracket on the tailshaft on the opposing side of the torque arm. This bracket is broken. any ideas where this bracket it supposed to go to so I can make a new one?

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: tailshaft bracket
That "bracket" just holds up the exhaust. Won't fix your problem, even though you evidently do need one. But it's a separate matter.
The reason everything hits the bottom of the car, is because the trans mount is broken, same as everybody else's. Just replace it.

Hey thanks, I didn't know where that bracket went. so I wasn't sure if there was an extra support bracket for the trans. I'll change the mount
