Is this too much angle?

I figure I could drill a new hole a little higher (the one on right) to correct it vertically. Then the whole assembly would still be angled to the left where it connects to pedal, but wouldn't be as bad.

Or I could drop the hole on the left, but there's not as much play on the left supports?

Any opinions on how I should correct it, or if it needs corrected?

I've read that some angle is acceptable as it changes when pedal is pushed, but I'm thinking there's a point where there can be too much angle....

Looks like the floor pan / firewall sheet metal is fornicated.

 

The padding might be puffed out creating some sort of illusion. You can tell from the engine bay side, the firewall is straight. No damage or anything.

It's crazy how I tried to make the holes just right and once it's bolted up everything looks jacked.

The pedal support on the right side has the most room for adjustment, so I wondered if that side would be best to drill a second hole, and just swing up the right side. The master rod pivots, but I'm not sure this is within an acceptable tolerance.

I'd like to not re-do it, but now is the time if it must be corrected.

 

Anyone have an opinion?

It would probably work fine long-term; the pushrod has a ball-end in a dimple atop the o-ringed piston and isn't at a bad enough angle to immediately junk the seal. But correcting something now is better than forgetting until later.
