Speedo gear reducer or something else?
I ordered my new retrofit VSS last week and installed it Friday. When I did, I had to remove the part in the attached photo.
When I had the rear end & trans rebuilt, the guy I had to it told me that the speedometer was off by a lot but that he had installed something to bring it closer. Is this what he was talking about, or is this something else?

The angle drive changed the ratio the speedometer cable was turning. You can leave it off since I think you were going to recalibrated using the sgi-5.
