Transmissions and Drivetrain Need help with your trans? Problems with your axle?

flywheel ?

Car: 1990 firebird,1989 Iroc z,1986 fire
Engine: 3.1lt,5.7tpi,3.1mpfi
Transmission: auto,auto
Axle/Gears: 273?277
flywheel ?

have an 86 fb with a 2.8,5speed.externaly balanced motor.If I put a new crank that dosnt have counter weights like the factory one.will my weighted flywheel on the drive line now work with any none balanced crank kit.How do I get the thing balanced if I cant mix new with old.

You have to spend $$ to get it rebalanced which raises the question
Why would you want to use a crank with a difference balance style to your stock setup???????

Not to mention weighted 2.8 flywheels seem to be impossible to find anywhere but the junkyard these days if you ever needed a replacement.
