1LE 10-bolts
Anybody have any thing to say about these rear ends?
Are they better or on par with the 9 bolt?
What makes them better, other than the bigger brakes, than a early 80's 10-bolt?
Thanks!
Chuck

Re: 1LE 10-bolts
Waaay better brakes than the early cars, a few more axle splines but thats about all.
9 bolt is a bit stronger but nothing to write home about.

Re: 1LE 10-bolts
Any pointers on what I need to ensure a smooth conversion to the brakes?
If I currently have a early 10 bolt and wanted to convert to a 1LE 10 bolt..what do i need to think about?
I know I will need bigger rotors and pads(?) do I need anything else, like a proportioning valve.....different brake lines... what other unforeseen consequences can be anticipated?

And check the FAQ's.
Why would I suggest that?
