700R4 just started slipping bad all a sudden
Alright, so I've had my 1986 Camaro Z-28 Iroc for about a year and never really had any big problems with it but brakes and a few other little things. The engine runs great besides a exhaust manifold gasket leak, but the other day I was driving around as I parked the car the coolant has pissed out everywhere! I found out it was a bad hose from the TB to block, filled it up with water and went to the store to buy hose. During then the car just all a sudden started slipping real bad. It wouldn't go beyond 60- 80. It would shift fine from 1-2 then once it was in second it would red line and feel like its in neutral. If you really floored it it would go into the yellow line and sometimes shift into 3rd briefly. She wasn't that hot cause as much coolant was pissing out it was only about 7 miles id traveled and the coolant didn't completely drain. I replaced he hose assuming it would allow the car to run much cooler (which it somewhat did) but the tranny still is the same, adjusted the TV cable and it seemed to help the shift in 1-2 but it still slips else where, when in park it shifts fine into R OD D 2 1 only jumped on time i put it into D and the car also shifts fine if you select 1 and push it into 2 but once you put it into D or OD the problems come back.
Any help would be great! Confused af to what the problem is, was going to change out the filter and pan drain the fluid to top it bad up then put some seafoam or lucas transmission conditioner in, but I didn't want to f**k it up.
What do you guys think ?

Your looking at a trans rebuild. Do it properly the 1st time and save headaches down the road.
I would suggest you upgrade the year of the trans also. The link below can help answer all your quetions if you call him.

Fluid is the right level, is used to smell burnt when I first bought the car but hasnt for a long time now. Don't really know what would cause the tranny so all a sudden slip really bad, do you think a rebuild is the only option at this point?
Gears that the tranny will go in seem fine possibly a bad servo or valve ? clutch packs?

Losing 3-4 is the most common problem. You need a rebuild.
