T5 Swap
Sorry if there's already a thread for this, but I want to swap my car's TH700-R4 for a T5. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks, or things not to do so that this goes as smoothly as possible. I've never done anything like this before, and want to do it in my driveway as a weekend project. Also, does the 3.23 rear end I have need to be swapped out with the new trans, or can I make it work?

Re: T5 Swap
3.23 rear will be just fine with the T5. You will just have to get the correct speedometer driven gear so your speedometer reads correctly. Im not sure off the top of my head if the speedometer gears from a 700r4 will interchange with the t5.
The hardest part of the swap really is the pedals and drilling the hole for the master cylinder. Other than that its pretty straightforward. There are articles and write-ups all over this board with pictures showing other peoples swaps.
