Need opinions on a stall
1989 GTA 5.7. well ported stock 083 heads (30% better flow than stock), ported stock intake to match the heads, 264/274 480x2 cam, Hooker 2055s, 3" cback, stock 700r4 and converter, and I have the tools to tune.
Car is a DD and mainly used on the hiway, some around town. Very well mannered, idles smoothly, accelerates well, but it maybe could use a higher stall than the stock 1400. I would like it to really jump when floored, so would I need a higher stall than stock or not? and if so, what would be a good number?

Typically, a stock style camshaft will work well with a converter in the 2200-2400 range.
