How many bolts in a 97 Camaro dif?

What was the number of bolts in a 97 Camaro differential? I think the gear ratio is 3.42:1.

all 82-02 F-bodies had 9 or 10 bolt rear ends. More common to find a 4th gen rear with 3.42's. However they are no stronger than the third gen 28 spline units.

Also 4th gen rears are wider by around 1 5/8's PER side.

No 9-bolts after 1990. Only 28-spline, 7.625" 10-bolts, except '92 Firehawks got Dana 44.

If you are referring to the number of cover bolts the answer is 10, all 4th gen rears are 10 bolts as well as most 3rd gen rears except for the aussie 9 bolts found in some 90 and earlier models. At some point the ring gear side went from 7.5 in to 7.625 in, pretty sure all 4th gen units came equipped with the larger ring gear, not that it makes much difference, both bolt up to the same carriers. What is it you are trying to determine? Also is it a factory posi unit or just an open differential?

10 ring gear bolts
4 differential bearing cap bolts
1 cross pin retaining bolt
10 cover bolts

so 25..
