Best TH400 yoke
Looking for the correct yoke to go on my TH400. Motor is a 406ci procharged sbc. Power around 7-800hp.
Im confused on whether I need a cast one or forged one?
Car will be mainly street use with occasional racing

Re: Best TH400 yoke
Never seen or heard of a "cast" yoke. Which is not to say, necessarily, that there isn't such a thing; no doubt, if somebody could figure out a way to make a yoke-shaped object by that process and sell it for almost-yoke money to somebody that either didn't care if it lasted past backing it out of the shop or just wanted the cheeeeeeeeeepest thing they could find that said "yoke" on the box, it's probably been done.
That said, a stock one would be fine, if it fits your drive shaft; especially if you're not drag racing with really sticky slicks and a trans brake leaving at 6500 RPM or something. Alternatively, there's a handful of people that supply fairly decent ones in the $80 - 125 range that should do fine for your declared application, if you can't find one in a boneyard.

The cast thing is a bit confusing, as Jegs list most of their yokes like this. Although the Moser site says machined. I was thinking of the TY700

I'm lucky, they're only like 20 minutes from me. When I get my 79 together they're gonna do the driveshaft for it.
Also, lifetime labor on their driveshafts!

I've got a drive shaft place right down the street, there's Inland Empire out in So Cal, etc.; not necessarily much help across the pond.
