T56 clutch options?
Know its not an F body but noone on the A body forum seems to know anything despite claiming to have done the conversion. Lots done here so...
Using a Centerforce DF rated for 590lb tq
Putting out 500lb on a good day guessing
Tearing things down def have TO bearing damage.
If the clutch is hurt those suckers are $900
It has been a good piece though simply cant afford another...and whatever damage to my trans if any
Anything out there comparable?
Using F body hydraulics if it matters
When my car was getting electrical work done while finishing a frame off the owner decided he wanted to hook up the clutch pedal to the rod w/o asking....so hea could hear it run I was told despite me telling him to not touch anything-made it adjustable dont know why. Felt Ok but it has been overextending things the entre tirme. 200 mi later blammo.

Yes....have a Mc Cleod scattershield on it All LT1 stuff though
Centerforce stuff is now made in China not so sure I want any of it now.
Machinist has my convinced the Mc Cleod RSX is the way to go, all 1 pc hasnt broken or worn one out yet, still has a nice pedal and not grabby.
Hope to have it out in a few hrs to see the carnage.
Trans goes in to get broken down, got some bronze dust in the fluid thats not good. Now how to pay for it all.

Re: T56 clutch options?
Trans is out calling it a night get the clutch out tomorrow
So far cant see anything wrong??
Fork slops back and forth on TO bearing til it hits the clutch yet bearing looks ok??
maybe once I get the clutch aoart Ill find more. Pilot bushing doesnt look so hot. Maybe I just had a bad slave but that doesnt explain the fork moving so freely when its on teh TO bearing
