9 bolt rear end help

I am in the process of restoring my 87 iroc and I had someone take the 9 bolt out of the car and clean it up and he took off rear cover and he found a bolt that was chewed up and broken into 3 pieces. The bolt came out of the carrier case, its the smaller bolt,i believe a 7/16 head.So far everything looks okay,no damage on the ring gear, gonna tear it apart.Where can I get these bolts from, does anybody carry them? Thanks

They are right hand thread, fine thread, not sure of the pitch. You can take a good one to someplace like Sears hardware and match it up with a thread gauge, then find a grade 8 replacement. UNLESS you are talking about the ring gear bolts (around the outside) then try ringpinion.com (Randy's ring & pinion).

Randy's Ring & Pinion has them. I had to get a set several years ago. You can also get them from another differential. I have an old 2 series differential with a 2.77 gear on it that might make a good donor.
