thoughts on original aluminum driveshaft

Hi, I have an 88 Camaro that originally came with the aluminum driveshaft from the factory. The car has a steel shaft right now but I am restoring it back to original and am thinking I should put the aluminum driveshaft back on. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Are they weak? Anyone had any issues? Remedies? The car is a road racing car so want to be safe .

Thanks

Run it. No issues unless your sprayn a 500 shot on slicks and dumping the clutch at 7k.
