I need opinions on selecting rear ends!!!

Hey guys. I have gotten a little farther on my 92 third gen project. I have completed the front suspension. Went to a dual cylinder manual brake system, UMI K member swap, UMI complete front suspension, Big Brake upgrade, 19" wheels, UMI sub frame connectors, and roll cage.

I have selected a used viper v10 t56 combo as my power plant choice.
I need a budget minded rear end choice. This is going to be a fun for me car not a race car except for maybe an amateur track weekend someday. Life has started to creep up on me so my build $$$ seem to keep dropping.

What can I do for a solid rear end choice that won't bounce the back of its foundation?

if you want a 5000 dollar engine/trans, a 12 bolt or ford nine inch conversion housing from the aftermarket should be affordable to you.

Don't spens a ton of money on th eengine/transmission and then try to go cheap on the rear end. A 9 inch or 12 bolt should be fine. Moser, Strange, Currie and Mark Williams make some good stuff. I think Quick Performance also makes one.

Putting in a roll cage and not racing the car? why?
That's a lot of work if you don't need it. I am in the midst of a cage install and it's a big job.

As for a rear diff, I went with a quick performance ford 9".

A thought for you, but keep the stock diff! I know this sounds stupid, but go till it blows! I had my stock diff down to a 11.0 @ 125mph! With a handful of low 1.5* 60fts.

It'll take you a while to get up to that power level.

Try to start with a rearend a lil smaller than what you normally like, esp if you plan to keep her, it will get a lil bigger as the years go by.

Wait, we talking about what I think we are or am I off target a bit here? hehe
