I can't seem to verify if a 3:42 out of a 95 Camaro will fit in my Series II (89)carrier with an Auburn posi. It currently has a Richmond 4:10 on it and I'd like to go ahead and make the switch. There is a guy on Flea Bay that has one for the right price. All the specs look the same. Does anyone know if this would work.

It will not work. If you had a 3 series differential it would, but factory 3.42 gears will not fit a 2 series. Don't even think about using a spacer on this. You are just asking for trouble if you do. My advice is to trash the Auburn and get a new 3 series Eaton Posi or Yukon Dura Grip to go with the 3.42 gears.
