Really bad grinding noise at stop lights
I have a 92 Camaro 305 TBI and when ever I am at a stop light, I hear a really loud metal on metal grinding noise. It goes away as soon as the vehicle moves or if I put it in neutral. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing it?

Re: Really bad grinding noise at stop lights
Automatic? Manual? Is the noise coming from the front of the vehicle? The back? Underneath (transmission area)?
Could you be more vague in the description of this noise? lol

I apologize this is my first time posting on this site and my first Camaro. Its an automatic transmission and the noise seems like its coming from underneath the vehicle. I believe the transmission is stock to.

Re: Really bad grinding noise at stop lights
maybe your "grinding" noise is your catalytic vent pipe hitting your frame while idling at stop lights...or is it actual grinding which could be fan hitting shroud( bad motor mount?)...nothing is moving at a stop light besides your fan...
