So I was rest driving the camaro I was gettin. Turns out rear disk. But big fronts discs. Anyways at freeway speed, (65) I was over 1600-1900 with the rpms. Is it possible I have the 3.42s in the back? This is a 5 speed. I woulda looked more but I was enjoying the car to worry about rpms!

IIRC
AUTO trans @ 70mph (approx RPM)
1750 RPM - 2.73
2000 RPM - 3.23/3.27
2250 RPM - 3.73
Not sure about the final gear in a Manual, but I do not think it is too far different
Sounds like a 3.08 gear.
All I know is my old 67 Riviera @ 70Mph is 3000 RPM no OD... Of course that is a 15 second Car, Floor it and the engine roars like a lion... I get so much pressure that I blow up the mufflers like balloons, they start out as an Oval shape, end up like an ellipse...
