Would this transmission fit my car?

I think my 3-4 clutch pack is worn. she won't shift into 3rd. Maybe it just needs a tune up, probably alot of gunk buildup in there. All my gears work good, just 3rd won't budge. Anyway, in case I need a swap I found one for my '88 IROC. 5.0 w/ 700r4

There's the ad it came from a 1990 Fleetwood. Do you think it would bolt right in? Which model/year cars would bolt right in without having to mod the tail shaft etc?

Do this and it should bolt right in.

I would consider NOT using the torque converter that came out of the Caddy. Use the one that's already in your car.

If you're not willing to swap extension/tail shaft housings, find a 700R4 from another 3rd Gen Camaro or a Firebird.

If 3/4s are gone it will neutralize shifting 2/3. Not sure what you mean "it won't budge"???

It just won't shift into 3rd. Stays stuck in 2nd.
