v6 t5 on a v8 question
how bad an idea is it to use a WCT5 from a v6 car on a 305 TPI? I know you have to change the bell housing. I've called people out for doing it, calling it a "half *** job" but I've seen many people post that they work fine. Wouldn't the smaller clutch cause the discs to burn up prematurely?
I have two of the v6 t5's over here now... and I'm tempted to use one of them in an engine swap. I'm a pretty conservative driver, not into racing or even speed, but when the day come that I have replace my v6, I'm not going to put them same engine back in.

Re: v6 t5 on a v8 question
When I swapped my V6 for a carb'd 350, I kept the original T5. I rebuilt it and replaced the clutch disc, along with everything needed for the swap - bellhousing, pressure plate, flywheel. I used a clutch disc from an early 80's S15 V6 truck. It's larger than the stock F-body V6 disc, but still a bit smaller than the V8 disc. I think it was around 9 1/8" diameter or so. I have since found that a couple places sell the correct diameter disc (10.5") with the V6 input shaft diameter and spline count. I put roughly 7500 miles on the V8/T5 combo before a bent pushrod garaged the car. I never had a problem with slippage or clutch engagement, and while I don't abuse it, I certainly didn't baby it either. When I pulled the engine to rebuild it, I checked the clutch disc. It looks perfectly fine with no excessive wear on the disc or burn marks on the flywheel.
The only downside I have seen is that first gear is VERY short. And even shorter after I swapped the stock. 3.42 rear gears for a 3.73 set.
