700r4 won't shift
I recently brought my 1986 iroc to a shop and get a corvette servo put on. When I got it back it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. When I brought it it shifted fine. Is there a solution to this problem?

take it back to the shop that installed your servo and get them to fix it. sounds like they didn't catch the band with the servo pin when they installed it.

Ya I left it at the shop. They said they're going to put the old servo back in.

Maybe they damaged or left out a seal. Just putting in a corvette servo would not cause this kind of problem. That pin wouldn't miss the bracket on the band unless the band came off the anchor pin and somehow rotated on the forward drum, which would require the valvebody to be removed.
I think they left out something or damaged one of the scarf cut rings. Leaving out a seal could keep the pressure from forcing the piston to press the pin against the band.
I suppose if the spring was left out, that could be an issue.
