I have a 91 rs 305 tbi an im switchin from the 305 tbi to a 350 carb an doin away with the computer an stuff...so ive found out that the only thing the computer does for the tranny is the torque converter lock up? how do I fix this when goin carb? I really don't wanna drop the tranny an do anything inside the trans is there anything else that can be done? an I kno a toggle switch can be installed but I don't wanna have to turn the switch on when it gets into 4th gear...is there anyway to wire it so that it still work when getting into 4th?

 

Summit and Jeg's sell retrofit kits that allow non-ECM controlled TC lockup. You might have to drop the pan in order to install these kits.

I wouldn't know if one brand is better than another.

 

ive seen these kits an I think ima go with the moster kit that uses a toggle switch I just don't kno if ima like havin to se the switch
