89 RS is stalling at intersections and lurching during acceleration

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I assumed it was a transmission problem. Anyway my 1989 camaro rs (automatic) is lurching/jerking when i accelerate at any speed, and even when i am at a complete stop. It has stalled once in an intersection. I have driven it 3 times like this. I'm just trying to figure out what the problem could be. I know right now my rear axle pinion seal is leaking and there is a leak in my oil pressure sending unit, which i was going to get fixed as soon as possible. Could either of these be the issue or is it a much larger problem I am dealing with? Thank you for any input

Reach under and unplug the Torque Converter Clutch wiring plug (see below.)

If the problems persist, it's more than likely not a transmission problem. Ignition and fuel pressure should be checked next.

The two described problems wouldn't tend to lead to jerking under accel either.
