going for a independent rear suspension on my 88 Iroc

I bought an 88 iroc back in May and some was talking to me about it and brought up the nice idea of trying to put a C4 corvette independent rear suspension. I would like to do it but i have no idea if that is something that is even possible. Does anyone have and insight to something like this?

It's been done, takes some major fabrication though.

Look at the thread in the link, slightly more involved than that.

I was looking at and that is perfect. Now It is just trying to find a good Dana 44 rear end. Do you know any places that sell good used rear ends?

You need a lot more parts than just the rear end, there is a lot of brackets & control arms that you'll need. Find a donor car, that way you'll have everything.

Re: going for a independent rear suspension on my 88 Iroc

I picked up a doner for my irs for 1500, took my rear end and brackets everything I thought I would need, and between the front end and ebay I raised 3k and got a free rear. It's the only way to go.
