92 Z28 700r4 to LT1 T56- questions
I've read through posts on the lt1 t56 swap til I'm more confused than ever....most of the posts are where guys are trying to use a 2 piece rear main set up
I have a chance to pick up a 97 LT1 T56 at a decent price, my car is a 92 L98 auto right now. About all I've concluded is to definitely get a set of 4th gen pedals
any one else have any advice on parts to buy, or to avoid? I'm going to "try" and hopefully use my existing TPI, and I want it to appear as factory as possible
the electrical connections are what worries me the most and getting my computer to work with the standard trans
will a new 1 piece rear clutch/pressure plate work from a 92 Camaro? or will I need one for a 97?
looks like there's only minor cutting required, so appears it will "bolt" up just fine, and I think the driveshaft will work, just need a different crossmember....I think
thanks guys

swap crossmember and 97 flywheel/clutch/pressure plate.
The pressure plate bolts are also specific to the LT1 pressure plate. Standard flywheel bolts.
Driveshaft will work fine.
When you go to cut the pedals in, do yourself a favor and remove the drivers seat and steering column.
