1987 firebird manual swap spedo question
hey guys I have an 87 firebird with a 700r4 tranny I just pulled and swapping in a t5. i just realized that the 700r4 has an electronic spedo and the t5 is cable weird though they both are around the same year. anyways is there a easy fix for this? any feed back is appreciated thanks

The VSS in the 700-R4 has gears inside. Pull the VSS and count them.
Put an 87 Firebird 5spd VSS in the T5 with teeth that match the ratio of the.teeth the 700-R4 had.

The t5 you have must be from a CAMARO, firebirds switched to elec speedo in 86.
Vs for t5 are hard to find, the usual used part places might have it.
