B&M Trankspak Shift kit 700r4

Alright guys and gals I have a 700r4 that I would like to put a shift kit into. Before I have used the basic B&M street/strip basic shift kit and it worked fine hit the gears nice and hard most of the time and smooth when you eased it at the right rpms.

My father has suggested using the Transpak this time which is more expensive, he says that it allows you to recalibrate some of the valves I guess to improve the shifting even more, idk Im not sure.

My question for you guys is, has anyone here used the Transpak and is it worth it? I will also be adding a Corvette Servo.

If I recall correctly, Transgo and Superior shift kits are preferred to B+M kits, at least on the 700R4.
If you want firm shifts, I would also do the corvette servo and upgraded boost valve.

If you have not seen this its worth a read.

In order to tell how much of a difference the Shift kit or servo actually make you would have to install one at a time driving the car in-between the installation.

I did the Corvette servo first and that alone was good enough for me.

Just a thought.

Yup, it's all about the Transgo recalibration kit.

Here is what is in my 4L60:

Pro-Built 4L60
Corvette Servo and Housing
3-4th Gear Up-Shift Valve Mod (Ability for WOT in 4th)
GM HD Sunshell
Hi-Energy Borg-Warner Clutches and Bands
TransGo Recalibration Kit
Chevrolet S10 Pickup Shift Governor

I also upgraded to a 5 gear planetary and the 3.42s really woke it up too. I'm on my 2nd rebuild of it now.
