Are 26 spline c-clips the same as 28 spline ones?

Axle/Gears: 3.23 Eaton TrueTrac
Are 26 spline c-clips the same as 28 spline ones?
I'm looking at upgrading my whole rear end as its been making noise for awhile now. I'm changing out the 26 spline axles and carrier for 28 spline axles and a new carrier and gears. Will I be able to re-use the c-clips or do the 28 spline axles need bigger c-clips.
Old stock rear end - 26 spline axles, 26 spline carrier
New stuff - 28 spline moser axles, 28 spline eaton truetrac
