is anyone running the quicktime rm 6023 bellhousing with a t56 magnum? the rm 6023 is for gen 1 sbc to ls style t56 conversion. I currently run a 400 sbc with the original t5. I got a deal on a t56 magnum and plan to use the rm 6023 bellhousing so I can run the ls style internal hydraulic throw out bearing and leave room for future longtube headers. I want to use my current 153 tooth flywheel and clutch. I contacted quicktime to verify the correct throw out bearing and they told me to contact summit or jegs! i figured i'ld try the pros here first. what i need to know is if the stock style ls internal hyd throw out bearing will work or if i will need to go aftermarket and if so what to look for.

Measure your clutch height. You can probably pull this off through the fork opening.
Get the RM 6023 measurements.
The 97-up early LS1 slave cylinder is short. It will be what should work with the setup you propose.
If there isn't enough room, drop me a line and there are some ways to make more room.

thanks jmd! I'm finishing up my jeep project so I can get into the Camaro. I've been gathering parts so it will have less down time. I was hoping for a "this part works with this" kind of answer but I understand what happens when you modify things. so i'll just wait to get it apart to take measurements . if I can figure out how to post photos i'll take pics along the way. after searching posts it doesn't seem like many people have gone with this bellhousing setup.
