Need torque converter help!!!!!!
I have a 1983 Z28 that I am putting a 355 small block in. New cam and lifters. New roller rockers. The whole works!! Completely rebuilding the 27 spline tranny. Putting a corvette servo, shift kit, and high performance springs in. Here is where I need the help. I am lookin to get a 2400-2800 stall converter. Anybody have any suggestions on which one to use? Thanks for the help!!

You will need to give more info about the engine. The cam specs, compression etc for someone to recommend a converter.

The cam is an Erson flat tappet hydraulic flat tappet cam. I have the cam sheet. Just not sure which numbers are needed to tell that. Here are a few of the numbers off of the sheet;

I hope this helps some. If you need more info, just let me know!!
We won the engine at a car show about 5 years ago. It has been rebuilt by an engine shop. It is a 350 bored 30 over. My husband is an auto technician, and he says everything looks to have been done right!!

Re: Need torque converter help!!!!!!
I have done some research on converters, and people seem to like the Vigilante, Yank, and the Boss Hog. Anybody have any experience with these?

Yes all those are good, also take a look at Circle-D, Brian there is very helpful. I suggest you contact him or someone at the other companies you mentioned and they will extract the information they need from you and recommend a converter for your application. It is almost always better to get a custom tuned converter than an off the shelf one.
