What transmission should I use!?!?!?!?
My baby has been sitting for a while with a blown 4l60e in it and I'm trying to find a transmission that would hook up to the stock 305.
BUT I am also looking to do an engine swap do to the sock one having 210k miles and I am looking for a bit more power so I want to go with an Ls engine pushing 450-500hp to the wheels.
So I will need a transmission that will fit on both the 305 and the ls engine and will also handle the power of the Ls engine. I don't know if this is possible but any information or ideas would be much appreciated!

well your 91 firebird should have a regular 4l60 or 700r4 not and electronically controlled 4l60e. just rebuild the 700r4 in it to hold the power and run it with the ls later.
ps my 700r4 is just the original one from behind my 305 rebuilt and beefed up.
