Th350 megashifter cable adjustment issue.
I know this topic has probably been covered before but in my frustration of searching I haven't found a remedy yet to help my situation.
I have the counsle version of the megashifter in my 1991 camaro. I recently did a th350 swap as well.
I am having a hard time getting the shifter adjustment correct. Here is where im at on the problem.
RN123 all work properly and are adjusted correctly. The pin will easily come right out without force. But when shifting to drive...well it just doesnt seem to move forward enough to click on the trans. Its about 1/4 of inch short of getting there.
If I were to adjust the cable for Park then the pin doesnt line up at all all the other gears.
Currently to make RN123 work properly I adjusted it in N, and then made sure that all the gears were set properly which they were, except Park.
I have messed with this issue for many hours and gotten no where. Its almost like the shifter just needs to push the cable another 1/4 of a inch from Reverse to Park.
I have read the directions over and over, I have made sure the cable is looped nicely, and its though the correct hole on the shifter linkage(closest pin hole to the engine... letter F IIRC)
Thank you for any help or any tips on how to fix this problem

Ok.. The shifter has a long park engagement.
Start off by putting your cable through the bracket on trans, thread the black pin onto the end of cable.. Thread it so pin is centered on the threaded portion..
Move shifter to 1st gear (Low 1) rear most position... Move transmission shift arm to 1st gear..
Adjust the large nuts on cable to get the centered pin to fit into front hole on shift arm... Tighten those large nuts at that point
Once they are tight, might sure the centered pin will still slide in and out of the shift arm arm easy.
Leave pin out. Move shifter to Park and trans arm to park.. See if pin will slide in hole.. If it does, cool you are done.. If not, adjust the pin until it will slide in and out..
Then put trans and shifter back in 1st gear and see if the pin slides in and out, adjust pin as needed to make it slide in...
That should be it.

Ok I will try that again. I did that initially but when I adjusted it from park it would end up being off track on all the other gears.
I need to look at this cable routing again as one time. I swear at one time I had it lined up perfect. So I started the car and ran it. It's on jack stands. As I shifted though the gears a few time all of the sudden it was not properly shifting . So I shut the car off and look at the linkage and it's not correct again. Hopefully I didn't do any damage to the car but it was in the air so not alot of load. Fingers crossed

Well i messed with the car again. I also called b&m. They told me to toss the pin in the center hole. I did that and it actually worked right. So i pulled the car outta the garage finally and it went back into outa sync. Its gotta be a kink somewhere in that cable im not seeing or something.....
Ill have to mess with it again soon.

Hmmm that is a strange one. Is your cable tab bolt tight at the shifter? The little bracket that's crimped onto the cable and has a tab with a hole in it. Goes against the shifter and bolt goes through shifter and cable tab
How is the angle of the cable where it goes through the floor? I had trouble a few times on diff cars getting the cable to exit shifter and go through floor at a straight enough angle. One car I ended up having to drill the hole out to 3/4" dia., then used home expanding foam to fill in the big hole around cable.

The angle though the floor is a tad steep. I'm not sure how to mellow that out. I reused the stock rubber grommet so it's looking almost straight down towards the Ground.
