I'd like to remove the clutch master push rod advice needed please

Hey guys after reading around a bit It looks like you can remove the clutch master cylinder push rod. I'd like to do the adjustment modification so I can bring my clutch pedal down

(T56 hydrolic clutch with third gen pedals)

Thought I'd ask here if it's easier or smarter to pull the rod or do I need to pull the entire clutch assembly in order to cut and thread the rod
Also clarification on how I can pull the rod. Thanks in advance
