t56 identification
Hello all
So I bought a t56 a few days ago with out a bell housing. There's no tags to identify it nor a bellhousing to go off of. I've measured the Input shaft length to get an idea on if it's a LS or LT trans, I think it's a LT trans, however I'd like further verification on the trans. Also what will I need to swap this into my 85 camaro, it was originally an automatic.

Yep. LT1. There's no other input that would be that length (past the TO brg. tube.)
Put it in 1st gear.
Spin the output exactly 3 times.
The input spins 10 times, it's from a 1993 with 2.73 gears.
The input spins 9 times, it's from a 1993 with 3.23 gears.
The input spins 8 times, it's from a 1994-1997.
I have a bellhousing.
