Axle/Gears: Posi 3:42
700R4 shifter Cable
so i had to put on in and its been a while, i was pretty sure the trans and the shifter are both in "N" when doing this right?
i tried it 3 times and its in Drive, every time????
what am i missing?

Place shifter in park on the trans the lever should be all the way forward then hook up the shifter cable dont hook it up in neutral once they are both connected remove the cable from the trans lever and slide the bracket retainer in. Next pop the cable back on the lever or bolt it back on w.e style u have u now have to remove to bolts from the trans pan for the bracket to bolt to undo the two bolts to where the bracket lines up bolt the bracket up and ur then good to go

Ok, right now I have the cable and bracket mounted.
Undo the cable on trans... Move trans linkage all the way clockwise. "Park".
Put shifter in park, hook up shifter, and the hook up (bolt cable) to linkage on trans.
Making both sides in park.
Go to go

That should be correct the lever should be all the way forward
